Our Solution

BEETLESS technology is designed around a deep understanding of how specific crops and insect species interact. Different pests are attracted to crops through a combination of cues such as smell, color, light wavelengths, and even sound, which can mimic natural mating calls. We replicate these natural attractants to draw pests more effectively than the crops themselves, guiding them into capture systems while leaving the surrounding environment and beneficial insects, like pollinators, untouched

Our Team

BEETLESS founding members bring decades of experience in pest control and robotics from two pioneering Ukrainian companies—Mosqitter, specializing in non-chemical pest control solutions, and DroneUA, a leader in agricultural robotics and drone technologies. Together, our combined expertise enables BEETLESS to offer sustainable and scalable solutions to farmers worldwide. We are a 100% female-founded company, driven by a passion to empower women in AgTech.

Oleksandra Afanasieva

The Co-Founder and CEO of BEETLESS. With over a decade of experience in marketing and corporate communications, she has led crisis management and public-private partnerships across various sectors such as media, finance, and technological construction. She also served at the UN in Ukraine, spearheading corporate social responsibility initiatives, including the UN Global Compact. Oleksandra held Committee Leadership positions at the European Business Association and the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.
She is also a Facilitator for the Congressional Office for International Leadership, a U.S. Congressional initiative that fosters international diplomacy and leadership programs, including Parliamentary exchanges. She currently serves as Strategic Communications Advisor at DroneUA and Futurology and Co-Chair of the Agricultural Committee at the Pennsylvania Drone Association.

Iryna Kiriushchenko

The Co-founder and Treasurer of BEETLESS. She is a partner of the DroneUA Group of Companies and the director of Drone Agroservice LLC. Additionally, she serves as the head of the DroneUA Charitable Foundation. Iryna holds a master's degree in psychology and business psychology and is a member of the Ukrainian Association of Educators and Psychologists of Primary, Preschool, and Extracurricular Education.

ADVISORY BOARD

Valerii Iakovenko

Co-founder and managing partner of DroneUA and Futurology, a leading figure in the field of drone technology, Valerii serves as Chairman of the Agricultural Committee of the PA Drone Association and is dedicated to advancing sustainable drone practices in agriculture. His expertise extends globally, with significant contributions to the United Nations FAO program. Under his leadership, DroneUA, a leading Ukrainian drone company, has expanded its operations to the US market, inaugurating its first office in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and introducing FarmFleet, a specialized SaaS platform focused on spraying drones and related services in the agriculture sector. At the Commercial UAV Expo 2024, Valerii has spearheaded the creation of the Ukrainian Pavilion, representing a self-organized effort by Ukrainian entrepreneurs in the UAS robotics sector to showcase Ukraine’s experience in scaling drone production.

Roman Romanov

Businessman, politician, ex-head of DK "Ukroboronprom", where he studied at the invitation of the Pentagon. During the leadership of Roman Romanov, Ukroboronprom became profitable for the first time in a long time. Started the global reform of the defense industry of Ukraine. It provides a vector of transparency, the implementation of NATO standards, the use of modern business models of management, involvement in high-tech science-intensive developments. Accompanying the team of the Ukrainian company Mosquito Control Ltd, which developed Mosqitter. The author of the patents "Systems of control of flying insect pests without the use of chemical influence for use in agriculture", "Ecological system of monitoring and counting mosquitoes". Developed a concept for a Global Monitoring System that would monitor mosquito activity worldwide, identify high-risk areas, and prevent mosquito-borne disease outbreaks.
